The Hargreaves Foundation supports Bristol Inclusive Thrill Seekers

The Hargreaves Foundation is proud to announce its support for Bristol Inclusive Thrill Seekers (BITS), a volunteer-led charity committed to breaking down barriers in adventure sports for young disabled people. BITS offers an inclusive environment for activities like rock-climbing and parkour, fostering a sense of purpose, belonging, and improved mental well-being.

Founded on personal experiences, BITS has witnessed transformative moments, from wheelchair users conquering climbing walls to socially anxious children forming bonds with volunteers. Despite facing challenges post-COVID, with a drop in volunteer numbers, BITS remains dedicated to offering life-changing sessions to disabled children and young people in Bristol.

With a unique ‘pay what you can’ approach and a commitment to inclusivity, BITS aims to strengthen its impact, providing valuable time for families, meaningful relationships for volunteers, and regular exercise opportunities for disabled youth.
