The Hargreaves Foundation supports Achieve More Scotland

The Hargreaves Foundation proudly announces its support for Achieve More Scotland, a charitable organisation dedicated to uplifting children and young people facing severe poverty. The strategic investment aims to enhance life chances by providing accessible participatory sports opportunities, fostering positive choices, health and fitness, improved education, and community engagement.

Aligned with our commitment to creating impactful change, Achieve More Scotland focuses on diverting young individuals away from negative lifestyle choices. The organisation’s mission encompasses building confidence, self-esteem, resilience, and community cohesion through school-based activities and weekly community-based events.

The funded project will deliver weekly early intervention and diversionary sports activities for young people aged 10-18 in Glasgow’s Possilpark, Springburn, and Royston areas. This initiative provides positive, structured, and free sports coaching, covering essential costs, including coaching fees and venue hire. This collaborative effort underscores the shared goal of maximising the positive influence of sports on the lives of Glasgow’s youth.
